What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Coordinator position at Blue Mountain Resort?
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with a day that is beyond their expectations and creates guests for life. This individual will thrive in a team environment and has the extraordinary ability to provide outstanding customer service to Blue Mountain Resort’s contracted event clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Exceptional relationship-building skills as the client’s liaison beginning approximately one month before their contracted event date.
- The ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- Understands the importance of both written and spoken communication.
- The responsibility to carry out many tasks on your own, while also working within a team setting.
- A consistent professional demeanor and appearance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Responsible for finalizing banquet event orders and communicating last-minute needs to appropriate members of the team.
- Communicates both written and verbally with clients and vendors to ensure arrival, event execution and departure experience are beyond expectation.
- Must be proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Google Drive and Delphi (or basic CRM) experience is a plus.
- Assist Catering Services Manager in the production and execution of all weddings and banquets.
- Assist F&B with delivery of events if needed.
- Attend required weekly staff meetings.
- Weekend and evening hours based on the current event schedule year-round.
- During the ski season this role will assist in the preparation and delivery of group sales events.
- Communicate event feedback to management in weekly recap meetings.
