What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Manager position at Blue Mountain?
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR : We are seeking a punctual, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited for an opportunity to provide a guest with an experience that is beyond their expectations and excited for the opportunity to create guests for life. The Retail Manager will oversee all aspects of three retail locations at Blue Mountain.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Five years of successful retail leadership experience required; preferred prior multiple unit leadership responsibilities.
- Proven ability to lead, manage and develop high-performing teams.
- High level of energy, personal accountability; passion for excellence which drives financial results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate consistently and effectively both up and down the organization and work effectively across functions.
- Profit and Loss statement proficiency, (general ledger entries, sales, and stock plans, merchandise buying plans, plan and manage inventory levels). Demonstrated understanding of selling key performance indicators and how to drive improvement in sales results.
- Experience in developing, training, and / or directing the proper merchandising standards for a retail store in an upscale environment. Should be able to create a block floor plan with appropriate adjacencies and focal points with an awareness of how best to feature vendors and products.
- Knowledge in outdoor recreation equipment and apparel, including ski, snowboard, bike, and camping preferred. Experience with resort logo merchandise and / or ski / snowboard maintenance is also a plus.
