Host/Hostess

Description :

As a host / hostess, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests courteously, quickly and efficiently, with a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude. The host / hostess will be responsible for answering the phone, placing walk-in / call-in take out orders, managing the wait list, keeping the host / hostess area stocked with all necessary items, and maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby area & menus.

Essential Job Functions

• Welcoming & escorting guests to tables, and provide menus
• Managing the wait list
• Answering telephone and directing calls
• Place walk-in / call-in take out orders
• May prepare beverages and expedite food orders if necessary
• May collect payment from customers
• Address complaints of patrons & or communicating guest's concerns to the manager as appropriate
• Ensures that take-out orders are complete and food looks appealing before being delivered to a guest
• Ensures that all food is delivered to guest in a timely manner
• Maintains knowledge of all table numbers
• Performs opening, running, and closing duties
• Other duties as requested by manager
