What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deckhand position at Blue Ocean Yacht Charters?
Blue Ocean Yacht Charters located in Key West Florida is looking for a personable, outgoing, deckhand, or mate to maintain our boats while they are at the marina.
We are accepting part-time or full-time. We are flexible and we can work with your schedule if needed.
Responsibilities will include:
Checking customers into the boat as well as surveying and checking the boats after customers leave.
Responding to customers needs or boat issues.
Ordering parts and driving to get parts for the boats.
Assisting technicians with repairs and maintenance.
Routine maintenance and minor repairs
Washing and cleaning the outside of the boats
Applicant must have general knowledge of boats and boat systems. Ideally applicant lives as close to our location as possible. Applicant must be able to work weekends and holidays. This position offers full time or part time.
Applicant may have the opportunity to mate for our Captains occasionally and get sea time. Tips are typically received daily from customers.
