Blue Ops is a leading M&A consulting firm specializing in value creation, due diligence, and analytics. With a team of 70 professionals across four offices, we support 120 deals annually, partnering with a select group of investment banks, premier middle-market private equity firms, and their portfolio companies.
THE ROLE
Blue Ops is hiring an Associate to join our Financial Operations team! Our team specializes in strategic FP&A advisory and business analytics in small to medium sized businesses, private equity portfolio companies and more. The Associate will be responsible for developing key finance business processes and disciplines for clients across multiple industry sectors.
This position will provide financial analysis, modeling and business process support. The Associate may also advise clients on business system matters in partnership with the technology team and will be responsible for leading and developing project teams and acting as the P&L owner for key client engagements.
The Associate Will
- Analyze operational and financial data to provide insights into business performance
- Support due diligence efforts with financial modeling, analysis, and data reviews
- Lead and/or support, and develop internal engagement teams
- Effectively delegate client work where appropriate to internal team member
- Review client work prepared by internal team member and make suggestions in best interest of client, as needed
- Serve in interim finance and accounting roles for client base
- Ability to manage and prioritize deadlines of client work
- Advise, support, train and partner with client business end-users on implementation of proprietary solutions / processes
- Lead training sessions and professional development opportunities

Some of The Things You Might Bring To The Role Include
- Undergraduate B.S. Degree – Finance / Accounting Degree
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant experience
- Certifications: CPA, CFA, CMA
- Strong working knowledge of computer software, such as MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.
- Experience with business intelligence and/or planning and budgeting software applications
THE PACKAGE
The base salary range for this position may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and commission incentives. Individual pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and education. While the range listed reflects the target compensation for new hires, we may exercise flexibility to accommodate exceptional qualifications or circumstances.

Salary : $85,000 - $130,000
