As an essential member of a dedicated team of diverse engineers, you will lead the design and build of the Lunar Lander Vehicle Test Bed (VTB). The VTB will provide an environment to combine the vehicle avionics and flight software, enabling system development, verification, and validation. The VTB will include software simulations and hardware emulators, as well as software for talking to these simulations and emulators. The test environment will also involve connections to NASA spacecraft emulators, requiring frequent collaboration with NASA and the development of prototypes for inter-element testing.

Because of the need for hands-on work, this position requires on-site work at Kent, WA.
Responsibilities :
- Lead the team in developing the VTB architecture and detailed design, including lab software, equipment, networks, and data acquisition systems.
- Guide the team through all stages of design, build, integration, certification, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Provide technical leadership for the requirements, architecture, design, software, verification, and certification.
- Define functional capabilities of the VTB, including software and hardware functions.
- Provide technical solutions and perform trade studies.
- Provide work breakdown structures for the development of the VTB.
- Coordinate with the vehicle subsystem teams to define their test requirements and to integrate their subsystems in the VTB.
- Develop the VTB integration plans.
- Support the integration of flight avionics, operator consoles, and test equipment to verify the requirements and performance of the flight software.
- Lead tiger teams for problem investigation and resolution.

Compensation Range for WA applicants is $146,644.50-$205,302.30
