This role is part of the New Glenn Launch Operations team, responsible for providing expertise in Ground and Vehicle systems supporting processing from flight hardware receipt through day-of-launch operations.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Collaborate on system safety and process hazards analysis.
- Manage a team responsible for test and operate launch vehicle fluid systems including hydraulic, cryogenic, and pneumatic systems
- Recruit, hire, mentor, and onboard team members
- Assist employees with career development planning and goal setting.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings to gage progress towards identified goals, formally document performance feedback, and conduct semi-annual performance reviews.
- Manage, review and approve Paid Time Off
- Oversee adherence to all published Blue Origin Policies, Directives, Instructions and Guidelines
- Promote a workplace environment and culture aligned with Blue Origin guiding principles.
- Assist with budget and spend plan development and execution per the Approved Operating Plan
- Collaborate with other functional group leads to ensure consistency in training and development across the Ground and Vehicle Operations group.
- Track and report crew readiness for test and flight operations.
- Operations support will require occasional support outside of nominal business hours. This includes after hours, weekends and holidays.
