Position Overview
Blue Owl is seeking a Vice President to join the Liquid Credit Team. Our Credit platform comprises a team of seasoned investment professionals with significant and diverse experience from some of the world’s leading investment firms and financial institutions. The Liquid Credit Team focuses on investments in syndicated leveraged loans. Also, the Team works with other investment areas of the firm, notably the Direct Lending Team.
Responsibilities:
Lead evaluation of potential primary and secondary market investment opportunities in the syndicated leveraged loan market for assigned industry sectors
Prepare investment memos and analysis for presentation to the investment committee. Articulate and support investment recommendations/theses
Evaluate macroeconomic factors, industry trends, issuer competitive and business characteristics, financial statements, forecasts, capital structure, valuation and associated credit documentation
Monitor existing portfolio investments on a real-time basis and recommend changes to portfolio positioning based on performance, industry conditions, credit events, and relative value
Develop trade recommendations to improve the risk/return characteristics of the portfolio
Develop relationships with other credit investors, industry research analysts, rating agency analysts, management teams, private equity investors
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in corporate credit analysis of leveraged loans/high-yield bonds, preferably from a buyside credit firm, CLO manager, or in leveraged finance
Strong oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
Team player with enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity
Strong accounting and corporate finance knowledge, and financial modeling aptitude
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, preferred. CFA, MBA and/or formal credit training is a positive
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $150,000 - $200,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
