The Role:
Private Wealth serves advisors and high net worth investors globally across the Americas, EMEA & APAC. The Private Wealth division focuses on growing alternative investments with advisors across Banks, National Broker Dealers, RIAs, and Regional & Independent Broker Dealers, expanding our product set on key platforms and deepening relationships, and growing adoption of alternatives and the Blue Owl brand in the markets we operate.
Blue Owl will be hiring a business leader to drive the firm’s Private Wealth capital-raising and ongoing client relationship efforts across the Defined Contribution segment. This person will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to strategically establish and execute a business plan to accelerate growth, including the definition, evaluation, and recommendation for growth opportunities with Defined Contribution (DC) plans and advisors. They will play a key role in continuing to develop and build the firm’s brand.
The successful candidate will be creative, entrepreneurial, and has a strong track record of raising capital within the DC space. They will create awareness, cultivate relationships within the DC ecosystem, and raise assets across Blue Owl’s full suite of investment strategies. They will focus on investors across all North American client channels. To be successful, this candidate will need to be well-versed in the Defined Contribution market with a high-level understanding of relevant regulatory factors to effectively communicate in a compelling way to plan sponsors, consultants, and advisors. To meet the evolving and increasingly complex requirements of this segment, they will also need to be effective from both an external and internal perspective, forming strong relationships across our broader sales, operations, legal, compliance and product stakeholders.
This role reports to the Head of Private Wealth Distribution, North America.
Responsibilities:
Build out our dedicated Defined Contribution client segment to deliver better retirement outcomes to participants and plan sponsors.
Cultivate and leverage client relationships, including executive-level and C-suite engagements, which result in strategically beneficial partnerships.
Partner with distribution leadership/teams and marketing to expand our market share by driving growth across our full product suite with a focus on retirement solutions.
Engage with product development and investment teams to develop innovative solutions that address market needs.
Qualifications
10 years of US Defined Contribution experience strongly preferred.
Ability to work with a dynamic (i.e., continually growing and evolving) product set.
Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
Exceptional ability to manage time, priorities, and internal expectations.
Exceptional work ethic and a desire to succeed. Blue Owl’s expectation is the candidate will grow in tandem with Blue Owl’s growth as a firm.
Ability to travel to clients frequently.
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $200,000 – 250,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
