The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaplan Architect to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. The role will be pivotal in designing, building, maintaining, and optimizing our Anaplan platform to support our financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is a Solution Architect with expertise in Anaplan model building and has experience working for or with alternative asset management firms. The candidate will be an integral member of the FP&A team with the opportunity to have broad exposure to all our key planning activities.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain our Anaplan platform for financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes across revenues, expenses, taxes and more
- Continuously improve and optimize existing FP&A models for scalability, performance, and improved end-user experience
- Lead platform enhancements and new projects by analyzing complex business requirements, architecting solutions and driving implementation with the FP&A team and external consultants
- Work closely with the Management Company Financial Systems team to manage data hierarchies and ensure data integrity from the ERP and consolidation systems
- Collaborate with key business partners across the Finance function and the broader organization to identify expanded Anaplan use cases and opportunities
- Provide continuous guidance and training to FP&A team members and other end-users on Anaplan functionality
- Implement and enforce model governance, including robust security, planning workflows and SOP documentation
- Keep abreast of Anaplan platform updates and future roadmaps to propose innovative solutions to enhance Blue Owl’s financial planning capabilities
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- 7 to 10 years of relevant working experience, with 5 years of experience as an Anaplan Solution Architect or model builder
- Experience supporting financial planning and analysis processes; working for or with alternative asset management firms is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Superior organizational skills; ability to multi-task and flex with changing priorities
- Project management experience covering project inception through execution
