The Role :
Blue Owl is looking for an Associate / Senior Associate to join the Legal Specialists team in the New York (Manhattan) office. We are looking for a dynamic and proactive team player to support the Legal team across the firm's Alternative Credit business. This role will work closely with Compliance, Finance, Accounting, Tax, Investor Relations, Operations, Technology, and Investment Teams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, highly detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple projects and who is excited about supporting a Legal team that covers a broad range of issues. We are looking for candidates who are intellectually curious and interested in the intersection of law, technology, and finance.
Responsibilities :
- Review client facing documentation
- Draft responses, incumbency certificates and organize materials in response to due diligence and KYC requests
- Draft, prepare, and file corporate documents, including but not limited to formation documents and amendments, dissolution / cancellation certificates, and LLC and LP agreements, among others
- In coordination with internal counsel, create standard organizational formation and dissolution documents
- Collaborate with Blue Owl entity management team and organize corporate records
- Assist in oversight of regulatory filings and periodic reporting
- Obtain good standing certificates and corporate documents from Secretary of States in various jurisdictions
- Perform corporate secretarial functions for Alternative Credit entities
- Develop and maintain trackers and materials using data from across the organization
- Develop strong working relationships and partnerships with other teams to support client needs
- Ensure that all Legal team records are stored in secure, organized file systems to support shared knowledge and compliant record-keeping
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities for the Legal team
- Coordinate signatures for documents and various materials
- Ensure firmwide understanding, including training, of the processes and procedures for working with the Legal team
Qualifications :
It is expected that the base annual salary range for this New York City-based position will be $110,000 - $130,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
