Blue Palms Health and Rehabilitation Center seeking a skilled Maintenance professional to join our team. As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities and equipment are in top condition and running smoothly. You will play an essential role in identifying, diagnosing, and fixing any issues that may arise, as well as implementing preventative measures to avoid problems. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, has strong attention to detail, has HVAC, Flooring, and Plumbing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of our facilities and equipment to identify potential problems
- Diagnose and repair any issues that arise with our facilities and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to avoid future problems
- Repair or replace flooring ( carpet, vinyl, wood etc.)
- Painting
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from other departments
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed
- Work with external vendors and contractors when necessary
- Continuously look for ways to improve our maintenance processes and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 years of experience in a maintenance role
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- A/C knowledge-repair skills
- Flooring Repair or Replacement
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with a variety of hand and power tools
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
