Front End Cashier/Customer Service

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Front End Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently managing transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and handle various tasks will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain knowledge of store products to provide product demos and answer customer questions.
• Assist in supervising front-end operations, ensuring that all associates are performing their duties effectively.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly with professionalism.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions, returns, and exchanges.
• Uphold phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized front-end area.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
• Experience in product demonstrations or sales is a plus.
• Ability to supervise and guide other associates as needed.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $16.00 - $17.72 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
