What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Blue Ribbon Builders?
JOB SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering all aspects of assigned projects from sales, estimating and bidding process through to project completion. The role will also include assisting in business development by attending community events and supporting communications and presentations to customers as well as other business development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Four-year construction-related degrees, such as construction management, architecture, engineering, or related fields preferred.
· Professional Certification: LEED Accredited Professional status preferred.
· : Five years in the construction field or 2 years as Project Manager required. The project manager’s experience must include one project of more than $2 million as a full-time project manager.
· : Cost estimating experience including at least one project, more than $2 million preferred.
· Project Manager’s owner references from previous projects are preferred.
· An equivalent combination of technical training, education, and/or related experience will be considered.
PREFERED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
· : Typing, professional business correspondence, knowledge of filing system, and phone skills.
· : Proficient experience with the following or similar software; Sage Construction and Real Estate 300 (Sage Timberline), Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, etc.
· : Contract negotiation, business development, lead generation, client selection management, sales, and customer relations.
· : Lead Journeyman level carpenter, with a deep understanding of all phases and trades involved in high-end residential construction.
· : Contract document administration, Critical path scheduling using Microsoft Project, resource allocation and scheduling, Vendor Sourcing and Negotiation, and Job Cost management.
· : Custom residential estimating using Timberline Estimating, writing scopes of work and specifications. Reading Blueprints, Bid Packages, and RFPs, performing takeoffs and Value Engineering.
