The Executive Vice President for Programs leads members of the Executive Leadership Team in a seamless collaboration that ensures the college provides access to higher education while ensuring strategic programming is aligned with regional priorities, ensuring accountability, providing the necessary workforce for the region and a coordinated effort of recruitment and retention of students in Henderson and Transylvania counties.

Examples of Duties
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Leads the following service areas : Curriculum Instruction (degree); Economic & Workforce Development and Continuing Education (degree and non-degree); Student Services; and Research and Institutional Effectiveness.
- Leads service areas in the implementation of the college's strategic plan.
- Allocates new and existing resources in support of the college's strategic goals
- Remains well-informed of current occupational trends and employs data analytics to assess student success initiatives
- Maintains a climate that encourages the development and retention of competent personnel, a high level of morale, and the pursuit of excellence
- Supervises and evaluates the vice presidents of Instruction, Economic & Workforce Development / Continuing Education, and Student Services, and the Director of Research & Institutional Effectiveness.
- Ensures program accountability and maintains accreditation standards in all programs, and serves as the accreditation liaison for the College
- Facilitates communication and collaboration across college and campus functions to avert organizational silos
- Coordinates and administers College's grant activities
- Maintains effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, colleagues, community leaders, and other institutions of higher learning
- Represents the College at various events, businesses, community organizations, and chamber functions
- Serves on local, system-wide, or state-wide boards or committees
Qualifications
Education
Master's degree
Experience
Ten years combination of administrative and teaching experience with progressive levels of responsibility in at least one of the services areas to be supervised in a higher education environment; and demonstrated experience in comprehensive student success efforts
S kills and the Know-How
Preferences :
Doctorate in Education or relevant field
Experience in a comprehensive community college with multiple campuses; senior level leadership in more than one of the service areas to be supervised.
