Job Title: Health Technician
Reports To: Principal
FLSA-Non-Exempt-Full Time-Hourly-10 Month position
QUALIFICATIONS:

CPR and First Aid certification
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (IVP)
- Certified Nurse Assistant or Medical Assistant

Experience working with students Grades K-6.

Ability to type and operate a computer.

Ability to learn special methods and procedures for working effectively with special needs students.

Physical strength to lift students as necessary.

Personal hygiene maintenance.

Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff and parents.
- Ability to meet people and handle a variety of office tasks
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Establishes a supportive, encouraging, and personal relationship with students, being careful not to develop intense emotional attachments.

Assess and maintain up to date immunization records on all students as required by AZ state law for school attendance.

Complete annual health screenings with appropriate referrals and follow up as required by AZ state mandates.

May come in contact with bodily fluids as part of this job while caring for students and staff.

Must sustain a professional relationship with staff and parents.

Performs other related duties as required.

Greet all visitors courteously, determines their needs, and direct them to the proper person.

Answer incoming telephone calls and respond appropriately to requests for information.

Maintain an attractive and comfortable reception area which includes school literature and appropriate informative materials.

Write and legitimize passes for students leaving class or school or returning to class more than 10 minutes after bell rings.

Assist with overflow of clerical work.

Responsible for student aides assisting with the front office duties.

EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with the Governing Board's policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
