Overview
Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) Therapist to be part of our Behavioral Health Team in Waynesville, NC.
A newly hired Therapist/Behavioral Health Service Provider can receive a sign on bonus of up to $5,000.00, depending on the service agreement chosen. Service contracts are for 1, 2, or 3 years.

Clinical supervision provided for associate level clinicians (as applicable for LCSWA, LCMHCA, LCASA)
Continuing education reimbursement ($500 per year)
In-house trainings provided, CE hours towards licensure requirements
Eligibility for student loan repayment for federal and/or state programs
- Additional compensation available for holiday working hours
What You'll Do:
The SAIOP Therapist is part of a treatment team providing group and individual therapy. They provide comprehensive clinical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate morning and evening groups including groups that occur on holidays
- Provide gender specific information and offerings under the supervision of the SAIOP team leader
- Support the intake process requirements such orientations to SAIOP, person centered planning, and crisis/enhanced planning
- Provide skill building during individual sessions around relapse prevention, recovery planning, managing triggers and cravings, harm reduction, self care, and parenting skills.
- Help to plan and organize group curriculum.
- Support in drug screenings and coordination with other stakeholders in client care
What We're Looking For:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Required (fully or provisionally licensed or license eligible)
- Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Required (fully or provisionally licensed or license eligible)
- 2 years clinical work experience preferred
- Availability to work extended hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with Tuesday and Thursday off
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- Bilingual a plus
