We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our care team. This candidate will be on our Warren, Page, Rappahannock and Fauquier Counties . The CNA will provide essential personal care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. This role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and supporting the nursing staff with patient care.

CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) – Position Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is a member of the interdisciplinary team who works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations to the RN and documenting observations to the RN and documenting care.
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA) – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Personal Care : Provide personal care to patients, including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens as assigned.
- Patient Assistance : Assist patients with dressing, undressing, feeding, and other daily activities as assigned.
- Vital Signs : Take and record oral, rectal, and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as ordered, ensuring competency in these skills.
- Skin Care : Monitor and care for patients’ skin to prevent tissue breakdown over bony prominence.
- Reporting : Observe and report any significant changes in the patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse.
- Mobility Support : Assist with patient ambulation, exercise, and use of bedpans and urinals as directed by the nursing staff.
- Environmental Maintenance : Keep patient living areas clean and orderly and assist with light laundry needs.
- Documentation : Adhere to the organization’s documentation procedures, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping.
- Professional Conduct : Maintain high standards of personal and professional conduct, respecting the confidentiality and privacy of patients, caregivers, and team members.
- Safety : Ensure patient safety by using equipment properly and adhering to safety protocols.
- Professional Development : Participate in personal and professional growth activities, including attending at least twelve (12) hours of continuing education programs per year. Engage in quality assessment performance improvement initiatives and attend interdisciplinary team (IDT) meetings.
- Respectful Care : Be respectful of patients' and families’ environments and personal needs, providing care that is sensitive to their preferences.
