Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dining Room Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dining area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences. This role requires effective leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. The candidate will emphasis on the front of the house staff; their hiring \ onboarding, training, coaching and corrective action when needed. The Dining Manager will be in charge of inventory controls, purchasing and receiving of product, menu development and staff motivation.
Duties
- Manage the dining room staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling employees.
- Ensure that all food safety protocols are followed in accordance with health regulations.
- Oversee the dining room operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area at all times.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Implement strategies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate expectations, updates, and feedback.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or hospitality management.
- Strong knowledge of culinary practices and food safety standards.
- Experience in bartending is a plus along with wine knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Familiarity with elegant causal restaurant operations is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest complaints professionally.
- Previous experience in interviewing and training staff is preferred.
- A passion for delivering outstanding hospitality experiences.
