Job Description
The Medical Imaging Specialist plays a critical role in our imaging department, performing invasive and non-invasive procedures using complex imaging equipment. This position requires the ability to utilize sterile techniques, operate complex imaging equipment, and assist physicians as necessary.
Responsibilities include producing high-quality imaging studies, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow, and working independently to meet the needs of patients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
- ARRT registered and hold post-primary certification in a minimum of one additional qualifying discipline in which exams will be performed in the role of Multi-Modality Technologist OR must obtain registry and have current certification on credentialing website for specified imaging modality within specific timeframe.
- Previous experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department.
- Preferred Experience: Two years previous experience in an advanced discipline.
