Job Responsibilities
The MRI technologist must demonstrate the ability and competency to provide imaging services utilizing Magnetic Resonance medical equipment. This includes performing various MRI procedures, both invasive and non-invasive, on patients, and operating complex MRI equipment as needed.
The MRI technologist is responsible for manipulating computer data and images for interpretation, reproducing them on film or utilizing a networking system for permanent storage.
This position requires independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The MRI technologist is also responsible for patient and staff safety in the MRI suite, as well as implementing patient MRI screening.
Requirements
- Graduate of a JRCERT accredited Radiography program
- ARRT and/or ARMRIT registered in Magnetic Resonance Imaging; BLS certified
- Two (2) years of experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology department or approved experience gained through a clinical education program in MRI
