Job Summary
The LPN Extern delivers direct care services related to daily living under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN). This role involves assisting with procedures, monitoring, and other functions as directed by the RN.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN
- Assist with lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice
- Document administration of care in the patient medical record
- Serve as a resource to department staff and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care
