Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respite Worker to join our team at Blue Ridge Vein Care and Hubach Family Medicine. In this role, you will provide essential support and care for patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while assisting families in need of respite services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and personal care needs.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer first aid and CPR as necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and families.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
• Experience in long-term care settings is a plus.
