Inventory and Logistics Specialist

Job Purpose:

As part of a team, you will ensure that customers' needs are met.

The primary responsibilities of an Inventory and Shipping Specialist will be to create Manufacturing Orders, provide freight quotes, shipment manifests and maintain an accurate inventory. To perform the duties of the position, an Inventory and Shipping Specialist must have a good knowledge of the company and its products. Inventory and Shipping Specialist must work with all levels of the company to ensure production goals are achieved and improvements are continuous. In addition, Inventory and Shipping Specialist will utilize positive team skills, good written, verbal, and math skills, and be capable of training others in the duties of a Ac Inventory and Shipping Specialist in order to perform the job satisfactorily. Inventory and Shipping Specialist will be responsible for taking initiative and ownership of the process through troubleshooting and problem resolution

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working within a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Prior Shipping Experience
• Must have good communication skills on the phone and email skills

· High school degree or equivalent preferred with college degree strongly preferred

• History of reliability, punctuality, and the ability to consistently perform daily responsibilities with a high level of integrity.
• Strong Computer Skills.

Specific Duties:

• Consult with customers to provide information, take orders, answer questions and handle complaints.
• Act as the first level of escalation, as required, to address customer-related issues.
• Process customer purchase orders by creating sales orders.
• Create sales quotes, when required.
• Process customer Manufacturing orders.
• Create sales quotes, when required.
• Investigate and follow up on customer problems.
• Document outcomes and steps are taken.
• Completes appropriate files and databases to ensure records and actions are accurate.
• Assist co-workers and managers in other areas as needed, this includes cross-training of other positions.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and safe working environment and may perform various janitorial or housekeeping tasks.
• Process COA’s.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Backfill for Accounts and Receiving Specialist.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisor:

Position reports to Controller.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
