Job Description
Redwood Veterinary Hospital is located in Vallejo, CA, at the southern tip of Solano County. We have a moderate climate, beautiful waterfront, and easy access to the greater Bay Area as well as Sacramento and the Sierras. Visiting the wine country is also a breeze – Napa Valley is just 15 miles north, with Sonoma also a short drive away.
We are looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our well-established, 8 doctor, small and exotic animal practice in the North San Francisco Bay Area. Our practice is truly a collaborative effort, where egos are replaced by a mutual, supportive, and focused interest in the best patient care possible. Being AAHA-accredited for over 40 years, we are very proud of the level of care we provide our patients and their families.
Established 40 years ago, Redwood Veterinary Hospital enjoys a large and loyal client base resulting in a varied and interesting case load. Our hospital is well equipped with tools that allow you to practice quality medicine including ultrasound, comprehensive in-house lab, digital & dental radiology, endoscope, & a paperless system. Our support staff is also highly skilled and professional. We are open seven days a week but refer our after-hours emergencies to local ER clinics. When specialist referrals are called for, we have several options nearby including the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude, enjoy client communication and education, work in a collaborative fashion with our staff and enjoy veterinary medicine! With several senior clinicians on staff, and mentoring a priority, we encourage new and recent graduates to apply. We also encourage our clinicians to pursue their own specific areas of clinical interest including dentistry, diagnostic ultrasound, feline medicine, surgery, and exotic pet medicine. Must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in the state of California.
