What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensing Coordinator position at Blue River PetCare?
The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the implementation of strategic initiatives across the organization, with a primary focus of supporting the Blue River PetCare Operations team in all aspects of permit and licensing management. Reporting to the Director of Project Management, this position requires a driven individual with strong communication, time management and organization skills, as well as an exceptional ability to adapt to the ever-changing regulatory compliance landscape and developing new skills as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::- Facilitates communications and coordinates with practice management and licensing jurisdictions to ensure timely license renewal and accurate licensing information
- Facilitates communications with industry vendors for relevant account information updates as required
- Maintains an organizational database of licenses and permits and related renewal deadlines to ensure Blue River remains in continual regulatory compliance
- Provides administrative support to the Integrations onboarding team to ensure the smooth transition of practice licenses and permits upon acquisition
- Completes administrative tasks related to online and physical license application, renewal and filing as required
- Adheres to the company’s policies and procedures
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned
- Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree with 1 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and extremely organized
- Flexibility and drive to meet tight deadlines, assist on multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately
- Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization
- Highly professional demeanor, with strong work ethic and self-direction
- Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding permit and licensure information
- Remain in a seated position at least 75% of the time
- Ability to navigate around the office to access file cabinets, supplies, office machinery, etc.
- Ability to communicate with others via in-person verbal communication, as well as frequent emails and phone/video calls
- Must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations.
- Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard and mouse when working
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40lbs
- 2 years’ experience in high volume/high accuracy data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Salesforce experience a plus
