Blue River Petcare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to join our Project Management Office. The Project Manager is responsible for the direction, coordination, execution, and completion of large organizational projects. As a key member of our PMO, you will lead and manage various projects modeling standards for project management established by the PMO, participate in implementing project management standards and governance for the organization, and leverage your expertise to deliver impactful results and drive organizational success. This role reports to the Director of PMO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities::
- Project Leadership: Lead planning, execution, and implementation of strategic projects across multiple company departments and locations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and priorities
- Comprehensive Planning: Develop detailed project plans encompassing timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget management, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets
- Performance Management: Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure project success and timely delivery
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage stakeholders for projects ensuring transparency and collaboration throughout project life cycle
- Project Communication: Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, providing comprehensive updates and communicating project progress, challenges, and achievements to stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Culture Cultivation: Foster culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within project teams, promoting innovation and best practices to optimize project outcomes
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners supporting project objectives and enhancing organizational effectiveness
- Post-Project Evaluation: Lead post-project reviews and evaluations to assess project outcomes, identify lessons learned, and implement recommendations for future project improvements
- Bachelor’s Degree, in business or related field, preferred
- PMP certification required
- Strong leadership skills with ability to inspire and motivate teams, drive accountability, and foster culture of collaboration and excellence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all organization levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing demands, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic thinker with keen attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills to drive solutions and achieve project objectives
- Proficiency in project management tools (Monday.com) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- 5 to 7 years of Project Management in a complex organization
- Experience working with external vendors
- Must be able to listen and read well and be detailed oriented with transactional work
- Superior phone etiquette and ability to deal well with customers and internal team inquiries
- Friendly customer service attitude, highly responsive, self-motivated
- Proven good judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong organization, planning, and time-management skills
- Ability to analyze and accurately reconcile simple to complex data discrepancies
- Able to take initiative and make commitments
- Able to meet tight deadlines, work well under pressure, and maintain professionalism and quality of work
- Fiscally responsible and able to manage resources effectively
- Conduct self professionally and ethically
- Remain in a seated position at least 75% of the time
- Ability to navigate around the office to access file cabinets, supplies, office machinery, etc.
- Ability to communicate with others via in-person verbal communication, as well as frequent emails and phone/video calls
- Must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations
- Ability to utilize a computer, keyboard and mouse when working
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40lbs

Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000 per year
