Blue Rock Course in South Yarmouth is seeking qualified teaching professionals to
join our team and grow the membership through quality golf instruction and an
innate sense of community. Blue Rock has been voted Cape Cod’s Best Golf Course
by the readers of the Cape Cod Times five years in a row and maintains a level of
quality for both play and instruction that is unmatched on Cape Cod.
We’re looking to grow our Golf Academy with a PGA Teaching Professional / Golf
Professional to join our PGA Pro in expanding our many clinic and lesson offerings.
Both full-time and part-time positions are available. These are seasonal positions
open to the possibility of being year-round.
Required Experience:
-PGA Class A status in good standing, preferably A6 classificationwith at least 1 year of teaching experience.
-A thirst for improving their knowledge in instruction. Certifications with Trackman, Sportsbox AI 3D, TPI, and Smart2Move are not required but will be a part of our training program.
Essential Responsibilities:
-The professional’s primary duty will consist of teaching private lessons, junior and ladies group clinics, and on course instruction.
-Self-motivated as well as have the ability to be a team player.
-Willing and able to help around the golf shop, club house, and golf course.
-Aid in tournament operations and membership services.
-Experience with juniors and PGA Junior League is preferred.
-Assist with golf instruction for players of all skill levels.
-Conduct individual and group lessons to improve players' techniques and overall performance.
-Organize and oversee golf tournaments, leagues, and events.
-Providing exceptional customer service to members and guests, addressing inquiries and offering assistance.
-Assist with club fittings and equipment recommendations.
-Manage tee time reservations and ensure efficient course flow.
-Assist with golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales.
-Participate in maintaining the golf facilities in pristine condition.
-Collaborate with the Head Golf Pro and other staff to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
Qualification Standards:
-PGA or LPGA membership or eligibility preferred.
-Strong knowledge of golf techniques, rules, and etiquette.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
-Previous experience in golf instruction and event coordination.
-Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
-Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
-Proficiency in using golf-related technology and software.
-Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
-Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weights.
