Blue Rock Search has partnered with a leader in the home services industry to identify their next Vice President of Marketing. The VP of Marketing will join their Executive Team in the Central-Western Indiana area. This role is a player/coach position that will report directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercialization and branding. The role will focus on spurring sales through marketing communications to sell our products, services, and experiences. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to building and executing a marketing plan focused on advertising across diverse channels (digital, social, radio, TV, print), content creating, seasonal promotions, and brand creative.
FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In partnership with the Founder and the CEO, has overall responsibility for development and management of each brand. Ensure the company has a coherent and consistent branding strategy while recognizing and addressing the needs of key audiences (B2C, B2B, Franchisees). Aligns the company around customer centricity (for all stakeholders), using data and analytics to deliver extraordinary brand experiences.
- Responsible for lead generation across multiple channels. Focus on driving efficient and effective leads through the sales funnel that drives revenue to each business.
- Develop and execute compelling value propositions that drive distinct competitive advantages for each business unit.
- Partner with the Executive Team on budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and achievement of company targets, with particular emphasis on KPIs for leads, revenue, and brand awareness.
- Lead and develop a high performing Marketing Team. Functionally focused on digital advertising, social, media placement, and content creation.
- Develops a franchise marketing strategy that includes seasonal creative assets that drive franchisee revenue growth.
- Provides marketing and media consultations for all franchisees, with a strong focus on new franchises that are onboarding.
- Member of the Executive Team who collectively are responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 plus years of progressive experience in Marketing leadership. Experience with emerging and scaling home improvement brands is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Franchise industry experience.
- Results and outcome oriented, able to demonstrate success in roles with substantial lead generation requirements in B2C and B2B markets.
- Advanced subject matter expertise in both traditional and digital marketing.
SKILLS:
- Exceptional leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience effectively presenting to groups of all sizes both in person and virtually.
- The ability to collaborate and develop strong working relationships with the Executive Team to establish and achieve company goals.
- Analytical and financial literacy to develop systemwide annual goals and KPIs aligned with established budgets.
- Hands on leader with a player/coach mentality.
- Proven track record in the following areas: Brand Management, Direct Marketing, Digital Marketing, Marketing Research, Media Planning and Buying, Creative Development and Execution
- High ethical standards and personal integrity.
- Ability to communicate directly and respectfully, to seek to understand others and resolve issues timely and constructively.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Creative problem solver and team builder.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
