Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a Child and Youth Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC) . This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible role at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities :
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide counseling services in a youth center environment to child dependents of military service members .
These services include face-to-face counseling, training, and health and wellness presentations; consultations with parents, personnel at youth centers and schools, and in consultation with the installation command staff regarding behavioral issues affecting children and youth. Counselors are assigned to Youth Centers located both on and off installations.
Counselors may also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. Counselors are responsible for working closely with military branch Points of Contact (POCs) to assure that the program is provided within the scope of the contract and meets the needs of the assigned installation.
Minimum Requirements :
- Master’s degree in a Behavioral Health profession (e.g., MS, MSW, MA)
- A valid, unrestricted counseling license, preferably in the state of work; however, licenses from other states may be accepted as well
- Typical licenses include LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCPC, and LMHC;
LADC and LMSW license types are not eligible, and clinicians under supervision may not apply
