Job Title: Cultivation and Post-Harvest Associate
Job Summary: The Cultivation and Post-Harvest Associate is responsible for executing daily tasks related to cannabis plant cultivation and post-harvest processing. This role ensures plant health, compliance with regulations, and the maintenance of a clean, organized work environment. The associate will work across different stages of production, including propagation, growth, harvesting, trimming, and packaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultivation Duties:
- Execute daily tasks such as cloning, transplanting, defoliating, and harvesting cannabis plants.
- Monitor plant health, addressing pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the cultivation environment and equipment.
- Participate in all sub-departments, including propagation, mother plants, vegetative, and flowering rooms.
- Conduct inventory counts and record-keeping for accurate product tracking.
- Notify management of any environmental issues affecting plant growth.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
- Follow safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Post-Harvest Duties:
- Weigh and record post-harvest materials accurately.
- Prepare and process harvested cannabis for flower sales and oil extraction.
- Follow SOPs for debucking, trimming, grinding, drying, and curing cannabis.
- Perform precise hand trimming for flower sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper segregation of materials and processes.
- Sanitize and sterilize post-harvest equipment and facilities, including stainless steel racks and shelves.
- Follow state regulations and documentation requirements.
- Ensure the safe handling and disposal of hazardous substances.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed in a controlled outdoor environment with exposure to grow lights, heat, fertilizers, and biological pest control products.
- Safety equipment may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds (or 125 pounds with assistance) and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, standing for extended periods, and using ladders.
- Moderate to loud noise exposure.
