We are seeking a Long Island based, Behavioral Specialist, to join our team at Blue Sea Educational Consulting. This role is pivotal in providing tailored behavioral support and interventions for students with developmental disabilities and autism. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis principles.
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of students and track their progress.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy to students in various educational settings.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and data collection for each student.
- Train staff on best practices in behavioral management and support strategies.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, ABA or related field. No exceptions.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is essential.
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques and behavioral therapy practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
This is a 1099 role, with the opportunity to create yo ur own schedule, make your own hours, choose your own cases, and still have the support of our entire clinical team. Electronic billing for accurate and on time payments.
