We are seeking an entry- level HR Assistant to provide business support and strategy, including administrative and basic level accounting support to the organization’s HR, Finance & Administration department.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage complex data and perform data entry including QuickBooks, provider checks and school district invoices
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase business efficiency and profitability
- Manage accounts payable including application of payments, contacting clients, and track the status of each account
- Maintain accounting and business contract records
- Categorize, sort, and manage incoming document, client information files, and internal records
- Reconcile financial documents such as bank statements & credit card statements
- Prepare and compile business reports and summaries on activity areas
- Manage communications with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Must currently live in Eastern Nassau or Suffolk County
- 1-2 years experience in an HR role /business/office/administrative support role
- Proficient with QuickBooks
- Experience creating reports and managing large amounts of data/information
- Experience with payroll and accounts receivable/accounts payable
- Experience with process improvement and project management
