Summary
- A parent counseling trainer helps parents develop skills to support their child's development and address behavioral challenges.
Responsibilities
- Train and Coach parents on how to use positive reinforcement, praise, and consequences to encourage desired behaviors and improve relationship with their child
- Development and implementation of interventions that teach new skills and/or reduce interfering behaviors
- Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of the intervention, with modification made as necessary to maintain and/or increase both the effectiveness and the efficiency of the intervention
- Utilize evidence-based, safe & appropriate handling, guiding and prompting procedures
Qualifications
- Must have a Master's Degree in Social Work / ABA/ Education or related field
- At least 1 year experience as a Behavior Intervention Specialist
- Reliable and consistent
