Blue Sea Education is seeking a Literacy/ Reading Specialist to support students with reading difficulties, for either in school or at home instruction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assess students' reading abilities and identify specific needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with reading difficulties.
- Provide direct instruction to students individually or in small groups.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to ensure growth.
Requirements: MUST LIVE ON LONG ISLAND IN NASSAU OR SUFFOLK COUNTY
- NYS Reading Specialist Certification
- Previous professional experience providing in-home and/or in-school academic instruction
- Wilson trained or certified a plus!
- Orton-Gillingham trained or certified a plus!
