Your Role
The DevOps Tools team collaborates with both Business and IT teams to support the portfolio-service model transition by enabling Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. The Senior Automation and Tools (DevOps) Engineer will report to the Manager of DevOps Tools. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with multiple teams and be an integral part of Blue Shield's DevOps and DevSecOps journey.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Ability to communicate technical teams through the design and implementation of automation
- Good understanding of modern Web, SOA/Microservice and Cloud Native architecture
- 3 years of experience in Atlassian Jira administration and automating Jira configurations
- 3 years of Coding/Scripting experience with: Java, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, MySQL, NOSQL, Shell Script, or PowerShell.
- 3 years of experience with Windows/Unix/Linux systems.
- 3 years of experience with CI CD, DevOps Tools: Subversion, GIT, Maven, Gradle, Ant, Nant, Jenkins, JIRA, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Selenium
- Knowledge of virtualization tools like VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift and Cloud based DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code
- Ability to implement engineering best practices and techniques (Trunk Based Development, Test Pyramid, Feature Toggles, Blue-Green Deployment)
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced agile development setup
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 99770.00 to $ 149710.00 for California.
