Your Role
The Senior Corporate Development Analyst is a critical member of the enterprise's Corporate Development team. The Corporate Development team leads execution of Blue Shield of California's inorganic growth activities to accelerate the enterprise's strategic plan. You will support this dynamic team and partner with cross-functional colleagues in sourcing and evaluating acquisition and investment opportunities. The ideal candidate has investment banking or management consulting experience with demonstrated knowledge of the merger and acquisition process and a strong understanding of the healthcare industry. This role reports to a Senior Director, Corporate Development.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or greater in finance, accounting, or similar discipline
- Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
- 3 years of investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development experience; prior placement in or alignment with healthcare sector strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience with the merger and acquisition process
- Proficiency in financial modeling; able to build detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Proficiency in developing presentations and investment memos
- Strong attention to detail
- Robust analytical and critical thinking skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
