Your Role
This role will provide strategic oversight and execution of our internal controls framework, ensuring compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency across the organization. Work involves leading or conducting financial, operational and compliance projects; providing consulting services to the organization's management and staff; and providing training and coaching to business operation owners. Maintains all organizational and professional ethical standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to influence positive change.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 10 years of experience including 4 years of management experience
- CPA, CIA, or CISA certifications preferred
- Experience in healthcare industry, specifically Medi-Cal and Medicare preferred
- Considerable knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices
- Strong understanding of internal controls and the ability to leverage such knowledge to make effective advisory recommendations
- Knowledge of the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors
- Knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions
- Considerable skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines
- Communicates the results of consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations to mid-level and senior leadership
- Team player with strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills
Pay Range : The pay range for this role is $136,400.00 to $204,600.00 for California.

Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
