Your RoleThe Group Medicare Account Management team provides strategic oversight, consultative support, and superior service to our employer groups (State of California, Public Agencies, and School Districts, Union / Labor groups) participating in their health benefits program. The Manager, Group Medicare Accounts - Non Sales will report to the Director, Group Medicare Account Management. You will be a strategic advisor and provide consultative client management through developing internal and external relationships and understanding of the client business to identify service needs, plan service delivery and drive use of proactive service and support.Your WorkIn this role, you will : Have an overall understanding of Group Medicare as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholdersUnderstand the regulations and compliance requirements for Group Medicare vs Individual MedicareHave access to and build relationships with key executive-level decision makers, understand their priorities, and build a trusted advisor relationshipDevelop and maintain long-term growth strategies founded on deep client and industry knowledgeIdentify issues and work with internal business partners not only to remediate, and resolve the issue, but help identify trends and areas of opportunity for the overall process while collaborating with our business partners in order to improve the client and member journeyHelp build client-facing materials including, but not limited to, reporting and trend analysis Support Commercial Account Executives who manage overall relationships with accounts and consultants, represent Blue Shield in final round bid interviews, and ongoing client meetings to understand their needs to ultimately retain client accounts; may also lead open enrollment meetings for key accountsConsult with functional partners on Medicare line of business to drive member outcomes which result in meeting clients' goals and objectives while achieving corporate goals, and build out specific client outcomes to report-out to show our effectiveness in Medicare Stars and risk adjustment scoresYour Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience, including in client-facing rolesRequires direct experience with Group MedicareRequires deep understanding of CMS compliance requirements and Group Medicare regulationsExceptional presentation and communication skills addressing both clients and retireesDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authorityAbility to identify and propose innovative solutions to meet the needs of clients and retireesPay Range : The pay range for this role is : $ 109340.00 to $ 164120.00 for California.Note : Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.#LI-AD3
