They are seeking a Lighting Retrofit Project Sales Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with deep knowledge of lighting systems, retrofit projects, and design-build workflows. The BDM will be responsible for driving project-based sales, cultivating relationships, and delivering tailored lighting solutions.

Focus:
- Identify, develop, and execute lighting retrofit projects, focusing on design-build opportunities .
- Build strong relationships with end-users, facility managers, engineers, specifiers, and contractors to drive product adoption and obtain specifications.
- Provide expertise in lighting systems, energy efficiency, and project workflows to customers and stakeholders.
- Establish and nurture connections in the assigned region, identifying new prospects and expanding market presence.
- Maintain detailed project information and progress updates throughout the sales cycle.
- Partner with internal teams to provide insights on product offerings and market trends.
- Conduct regular in-person meetings and site visits, with travel requirements ranging from 50-75% within the assigned region.
- Strong sales and negotiation abilities with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical or engineering-related field.
- Extensive experience in the lighting sector, including a solid track record of three or more years in client-facing sales roles.
- Proven success in lighting retrofit projects and design-build workflows.
- Proven ability to excel in cold-calling and building strong relationships with key target audiences.
- Expertise in lighting systems, retrofits, and energy-efficient solutions.
- Familiarity with control systems and ability to develop specifications.
- LC (Lighting Certified) preferred.
- Experience with design-build contractors or roles focused on energy efficiency.
- Relationship-driven professionals with flexibility and a solution-oriented mindset.
