Focus:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure smooth plant operations with minimal downtime.
- Establish and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to enhance equipment reliability and lifespan.
- Take charge of recruitment and training efforts for new maintenance team members, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Coordinate and oversee plant improvement projects, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with local and federal building codes, OSHA standards, and food safety regulations.
- Provide continuous guidance and support to the maintenance team, encouraging skill development and process improvement.
- Facilitate effective communication between maintenance staff and other departments to align maintenance activities with broader operational goals.
Skill Set:
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a maintenance role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training in Industrial Mechanics or a related field.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, with certification in Commercial Electrician and basic programming highly desired.
- Hands-on experience with cryopack and winpack machines.
- In-depth knowledge of building maintenance and repair techniques, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with food safety protocols and compliance, including knowledge of SQF standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a diverse team.
