Position Overview:
As a Sr. Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting radiology technologists by performing a variety of clerical, technical, and patient-related duties. You will assist in patient check-in, exam preparation, patient education, and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and professional patient care.
- Oversee patient registration, including check-in, check-out, and insurance verification.
- Greet visitors and patients, guide them to appropriate resources, and relay messages.
- Set up imaging rooms according to the scheduled examination and required precautions.
- Explain imaging procedures clearly and effectively to patients.
- Assist in positioning patients to ensure comfort and modesty.
- Support dressing/undressing assistance for exams and escort patients to and from imaging rooms.
- Ensure all procedures align with safety protocols and established guidelines.
- May be required to start IVs as needed.
- Follow pre-established guidelines and rely on industry best practices to complete job functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
✔ High school diploma or equivalent
✔ CPR Certification (Preferred)
✔ Phlebotomy Certification OR Medical Assisting Certificate
