Focus:
- Interpret customer requirements to architect reliable, innovative avionics system designs.
- Guide internal teams through systems integration and feasibility planning across cross-functional disciplines.
- Lead technical discussions with external stakeholders, representing engineering scope and technical milestones.
- Support system integration testing—both in-lab and in-aircraft—ensuring functionality meets specifications.
- Develop, review, and validate wiring schematics and interface diagrams for new and modified architectures.
- Author detailed design documentation, including block diagrams and technical data packages.
- Evaluate system certification impact, focusing on human factors, compliance, and airworthiness requirements.
- Collaborate on software/hardware development cycles for both new and legacy aerospace systems.
- Recommend design improvements and streamline engineering processes based on real-world system feedback.
- Understand and apply communication protocols like ARINC429, RS232, and RS422 across digital avionics platforms.
- Provide installation and integration expertise across multiple aircraft types, including fixed and rotary-wing.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, or related field).
- 3 years of experience in avionics systems development, integration, or testing.
- Demonstrated expertise in aircraft electrical systems, embedded avionics, or flight deck technologies.
- Hands-on experience with systems-level documentation, architecture definition, and certification pathways.
- Familiarity with military and commercial aviation environments (e.g., Part 23, 25, 27, or 29 platforms).
- Comfortable leading technical discussions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (minimum two-week trips).
- U.S. work authorization required; must be eligible for access to export-controlled information.
