What are your high level responsibilities?

The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of buildings and facilities. They manage a team of janitorial staff and ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner. The supervisor is also responsible for managing inventory, cleaning filling in when a staff member is sick / vacation, and handling customer inquiries and complaints.

We do have a few requirements

• A positive attitude is a must. Your team will look to you for positive feedback, and a "we can do this" attitude.
• 1-year management is preferred in commercial and / or janitorial cleaning
• 2 years experience as a commercial cleaning professional
• Supervise a team of janitorial staff, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard.
• Implement cleaning procedures and standards to ensure consistency and quality of service
• Provide training to janitorial staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment and supplies.
• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of all cleaning jobs, including cleaning methods used, and cleaning supplies and equipment used.
• Inspect buildings and facilities regularly to ensure they are clean and well-maintained.
• Must be flexible with the scheduled start time anywhere from 4pm and up
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Working Conditions :

The Janitorial Supervisor typically works indoors in an office environment, as well as in the field supervising janitorial staff. They may need to work evenings and weekends to accommodate client schedules and may be required to lift heavy equipment and supplies. They may also be exposed to cleaning chemicals and other potentially hazardous materials. The job can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
