Custom picture framing help wanted for a small shop in the Brentwood neighborhood of Austin, TX.
Looking for the right person to fit the role. Hours are flexible and negotiable as long as tasks are completed, part time to start with the opportunity to work up to full-time.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of custom picture framing experience
- Creative in the ways of art, design, and problem solving
- Aptitude for building and working with your hands
- Ability to use tools such as hammers, power drills, box cutters, glass cutter, mat cutter, and air compressor.
- Demonstrates excellent craftsmanship and eye for detail
- Proficient in math skills, measuring, and the use of a standard tape measure
- Organized
- Customer focused— friendly, personable, and professional
- Honest
Responsibilities:
- Opening and closing the shop
- Greeting and interacting with customers, phone and in-person
- keeping the shop and work areas clean— sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, taking out trash, and breaking down boxes.
- Keeping inventory clean and organized
- Building frames, cutting glass, cutting mats using a mat cutter
- Exercising the utmost caution and care when handling and storing customer artwork and items, fitting the final product
- Ability to stand for most of the day and lift heavy objects
Job Type: Part to Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00/ hr., based on experience
Expected hours: 20-40 hr/wk
