SUMMARY
A Loan Processor processes commercial and consumer loans ensuring compliance with the Bank’s loan policy and all regulatory requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Processes and prepares loan documents for commercial, consumer, and real estate loans using Laser Pro and Decision Pro.
- Orders real estate title work, real estate flood certificates, and credit reports.
- Orders Appraisal and Appraisal Reviews as necessary.
- Reviews attorney prepared loan documents for accuracy prior to loans closing and funding.
- Reviews transactions for loan policy exceptions and ensures adherence to regulatory requirements prior to producing documents.
- Coordinates with title companies for real estate closings.
- Initiates all funding entries for loan disbursements.
- Performs review of UCC/EFS searches and completes all necessary UCC/EFS filings.
- Completes filing of mortgages and deed of trusts.
- Completes filing of bank lien for titled collateral.
- Uploads and scans closed loans to core and fund.
- Recognizes red flags, scams, fraud, phishing, etc.
- Stays current on applicable banking regulations and security procedures and practices to prevent fraud or other bank losses and to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Performs responsibilities during Bank hours by being physically present in the Bank an average of 40 hours each week based on business needs.
- Travels between branches as needed.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related fields (preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of loan processing experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of loan processing.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record report, and reliable transportation.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willingness to continuously learn.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
