Blue Sky Contractors Commercial Construction Superintendent

Blue Sky Contractors, LLC, a 20-year-old commercial general contractor, is looking to add Superintendent staff to enhance our dedicated and talented team. The Superintendent is the main Customer contact, director of project site & schedule, creates and controls all contracts on the project, conducts coordination meetings, manages project site documentation through punch-list and close-outs. Profitability of each project depends on good management from the top down. Sustaining existing and gaining new customer relations is a natural result of quality performance.

Position Responsibilities

Expert in reading and comprehending Plan Drawings & Specs.

Aptitude to anticipate problems and critical issues that pertain to running projects.

Positive, “Can-Do” attitude to independently manage all projects and relationships in the best interests of Blue Sky Contractors.

Highest level knowledge of building codes, construction methods / materials, and OSHA requirements.

Work with Owners, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Architects, and Engineers to manage overall project requirements.

Instructing, leading, and managing Blue Sky Contractors field labor.

Update project schedule with Owner, Project Manager, Subcontractors, and Vendors to meet project goals and deadlines.

Work with Project Manager on change orders and subcontractor / vendor payments.

Oversee safe, secure, clean, and organized jobsite / work environment in shop and sites.

Communicate and coordinate with each Project Manager to ensure performance of Subcontractors and staff to meet project schedules and project budget.

Communicate, coordinate, and document with the Project Manager to ensure Owner requirements / project goals are being met.

Guarantee punch list / close-out requirements are met.

REPORTS TO : Field Operations Director

Qualifications :

Proven Supt. track record and desire to continue.

Extensive experience in commercial construction site supervision.

OSHA and other industry certifications.

Strong communication, interpersonal, team-building, and customer service skills.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore & Scheduling.
