Job Description
The Diesel Exhaust Fluid Plant Supervisor will be responsible for the safe and efficient production, packaging, and warehouse operations per Blue Sky standards.

General Function
The DEF Plant Supervisor reports to the National Operations Manager or his designee.
The Plant Supervisor oversees the production, bottling, and warehouse functions by following established procedure and protocols. The primary focus is on operating the production plant and warehouse functions is a safe manner, with high quality and exceptional customer service at the core of the duties. The Plant Supervisor receives supplies, raw materials, maintains inventory, performs and ensures general housekeeping duties, follows and oversees safety policies as agreed with by National Operations Manager or designee.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform all activities involved with production and packaging of diesel exhaust fluid including but not limited to:
- Supervising bottling and warehouse employees
- Demonstrates command and knowledge of all plant equipment
- Supervises the safe loading of DEF bulk trucks
- Maintains production log of each plant function
- Takes product samples in line with established schedules
- Ensures proper labeling of orders, including batch codes for traceability, special coding
- Sole responsibility for maintaining a safe, clean work station, free of spills and leaks.
- Packaging supply inventory
- Maintains accurate inventory records of finished goods inventory and corresponds same to Blue Sky Customer Service or as directed.
- Immediately reports issues such as quality, order delays, equipment malfunctions, and inventory imbalances to the National Operations Mgr., Plant and Corporate Customer Service Agents.
- General housekeeping and preventative maintenance of plant production equipment.
- Responsible for safely operating the plant according to established OSHA and EPA regulations and specific plant safety policies.
- Receipt and unloading of packaging supplies.
- Maintains packaging inventory in orderly manner, using first in, first out (FIFO) method of control.
- Responsible for timely notification of potential shortages of supplies to operate the plant.
- Additional duties and responsibilities as agreed to with National Operations Manager
