In this role, you’ll be responsible for maximizing revenue across all hotel segments – including rooms, food & beverage, and event spaces – while developing and executing strategies to exceed our financial goals.
What You’ll Do
- Lead with Vision: Drive revenue growth by exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for rooms, food, beverage, and overall hotel sales.
- Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and refine strategies to ensure optimum business mix, pricing, and revenue management.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate lasting relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with hotel managers, the sales team, and the corporate office to ensure alignment on performance and goals.
- Manage Group Events: Oversee large group arrivals, departures, and special requests, ensuring smooth execution of meetings and events.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Create reports, track sales performance, and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure optimal performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing sales team, providing mentorship, training, and support to drive success.
- On-Call Leadership: Act as Manager on Duty when needed, providing guidance and oversight for hotel operations.
- Experience: At least 6 years in hotel sales or a combination of education and related experience (4-year college degree 2 years of experience or 2-year degree 4 years of experience). Leadership experience is essential.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and implementing successful strategies.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with hotel sales systems like Marriott Sales Systems, Opera PMS, and STR Reports is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
- Hotel Operations Knowledge: Understanding of hotel operations, including marketing plans, business plan preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Leadership Qualities: Experience leading, mentoring, and motivating a sales team to meet and exceed targets.
