- This is a Full Time benefits eligible position.
- The salary range for this position is $43,500-$93,500 Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
- Acts as a liaison and responds to inquiries for the purpose of providing information on district support services and/or educational programs.
- Assesses student and family behavioral, mental and resource needs (e.g., financial, medical, parenting skills, etc.) for the purpose of developing and implementing individualized plans of services to support educational objectives.
- Attends and participates in meetings, workshops and seminars as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Conducts casework service with parents as an integral part of the task force for the purpose of helping students, to increase the parents' understanding, their constructive participation in resolving their child's problems and their knowledge and use of appropriate resources available.
- Consults and collaborates with other school personnel for the purpose of gathering and giving information, and in establishing and planning for respective roles in the modification of the student's behavior.
- Coordinates activities with a variety of outside services agencies, school sites, etc. (e.g., mental health, probation, medical, etc.) for the purpose of providing referrals for families and/or students.
- Mediates conflicts between various groups (e.g., parent/teacher, parent/parent, parent/student, student/student etc.) for the purpose of conducting crisis intervention and resolving issues that could impede student's success.
- Conducts psychoeducation and social groups for students to provide support and teach needed skills.
- Responds to requests for intervention in situations that could negatively impact the student's education plan for the purpose of addressing needs of the student.
- Serves as a member of school teams and educational planning committees for the purpose of providing information and assisting with planning for children with adjustment problems.
- Supports students who are homeless or in foster care.
- Student crisis intervention and management as needed.
- Plans and conducts workshops for parents and/or students (e.g., Parenting skills, community resources, district programs, social skill development, etc.) for the purpose of assisting parents in maintaining a positive home environment, building trust between family and district, and supporting child's educational program.
